By all accounts,
FPL 2009 in Prague was a success. We were especially excited about the interest in Open-Source for FPGA; both the opportunities and challenges. Fully expect reverberations in this regard to influence
FPGA 2010 and
FCCM 2010.

do you mean open source EDA or open source cores? i'm about ready to devote 200% of my time to FPGA EDA SaaS
I chose Burning Man over FPL.
The EDA part is less valuable if the vendor's back end is closed. The world isn't made of XC6200's. Although there was talk of that.
